Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) was founded in 2002 as a not-for-profit private university providing affordable quality education under the UTAR Education Foundation. UTAR is one of the fastest growing private higher education institutions in Malaysia, with phenomenal growth in all aspects of its development since its inception. Starting out with 411 students in its Petaling Jaya campus in 2002, the university鈥檚 enrolment has now reached close to 20,000 students with campuses located in Kampar, Perak and Bandar Sungai Long, Selangor. UTAR offers more than 140 academic programmes in a range of fields, from Accounting, Business and Economics and Mathematics to Agriculture and Food Science, Creative Industries and Design, Engineering and Built Environment, Information and Communication Technology and more. Programmes are offered at the foundation, bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, postgraduate diploma and doctoral levels.
