This scholarship is offered to talented undergraduate and graduate students who have applied for asylum in Australia.
Benefits
a living allowance of AUD $5,000 per year (paid in two instalments in April and September) for up to the standard full-time duration of your course.
a full fee remission for the normal full-time duration of your degree course
Eligibility
Undergraduate applicants
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:
be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia and either:

have applied for or hold a temporary Australian humanitarian visa; or
have applied for a permanent Australian humanitarian visa
have completed Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia
not have undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a Year 12 program).
have applied for a University of Melbourne undergraduate course via VTAC for commencement in the year following completion of Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate
meet the entry requirements for the University of Melbourne course nominated in your VTAC application
Graduate applicants
To be considered for this scholarship, you must:

You must submit the online application form by the closing date. As part of the application you will need to attach evidence of your current visa status and provide a brief statement on how the scholarship will benefit you.
