Other eligibility requirements

  • Completed program is in Elementary Education, Educational Policy Studies, Educational Psychology, or Secondary Education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta
  • Graduates have completed a Master's or PhD degree
  • Graduates have convocated at either the spring or fall convocation in the year of the competition deadline
  • Awarded to outstanding graduates
  • Selection will be based on scholarly excellence
  • Selection will be based on the thesis with the most direct relevance to the following fields listed in order of priority: 1.) International Education, 2.) Canadian Indigenous Education, 3.) Multicultural Education in Canada
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
