Criteria

To be considered, the candidate must:

  • Be a first year Bachelor of Science in Engineering - UT Program student;
  • Have entered the program with an outstanding record of academic achievement in high school; and
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Submit a 500 word essay that outlines their academic and related career goals.

Students may receive this award a maximum of 2 times during their degree program.

Disbursement Criteria

For funds to be disbursed, successful applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course load and be in good academic standing.

Selection basis

Students are shortlisted based on their

  • Academic excellence
  • Financial need/hardship

Selection criteria

Recipients will be named by the Department Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Engineering - UT Program.

Successful applicants will be notified via e-mail. Committee selections are final, appeals will not be considered.

Typically given out in the Fall term.
