Students entering full-time graduate studies in May, September, or January following the application deadline, or registered full-time in any graduate program, who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or M茅tis).

Selection criteria

Selection will be based on research budget justification and demonstrated connection between research and fulfillment of Indigenous community responsibilities. Students must maintain satisfactory progress and full-time registration for the duration of the scholarship.

Apply by February 1; The online Indigenous Graduate Scholarship Application Form is available on the OGPS website and includes a required declaration of Indigenous identity including information about your relationship to a First Nation, Inuit or M茅tis community, treaty, scrip, land claim, territory or region. Applicants must also submit a 1-2 page research budget via the online application.
