Recipients of the award(s) will be graduate or undergraduate students who have:

  • Demonstrated an ongoing, active academic interest in Mennonite Studies with a preference for Russian Mennonite studies
  • Produced a substantive paper contributing to the understanding of the Mennonite experience with a preference to the Russian Mennonite experience. The subject of papers may be chosen from a variety of disciplines, e.g., Religion, Music, Education, History, Literature, Peace and Conflict Studies, etc.
  • Recipients of the award(s) will be chosen by the Academic Dean of Conrad Grebel University College upon recommendation of professors at the College
  • Selection will be based on academic merit

A scholarship, valued at CAN $1,000, is provided annually to undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in studies at Conrad Grebel University College. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ongoing, active academic interest in and have produced a substantive research paper contributing to the understanding of the Mennonite experience. Preference will go to students who paper focuses on the Russian Mennonite experience. This fund is made possible by a donation from J. William and Sarah Dyck.
