Other eligibility requirements

  • The main purpose of the Award is to recognise high achievers from our Foundation Pathway partners, UP Education and Study Group, who wish to enrol in undergraduate study at the University of Auckland Waipapa Taumata Rau.
  • Up to 30 Awards will be made annually in total. Awards will be made twice a year. The Award will be paid as a compulsory fees credit towards the first semester of study at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
  • Ten Awards of NZ $20,000 each will be made in each semester, to the full-time students who achieved the highest marks in the University of Auckland Certificate of Foundation Studies (Up Education) in each intake and five Awards of NZ $20,000 each will be made in each semester to the full-time students who achieved the highest marks in the Foundation Studies Certificate (Study Group) in each intake.
  • To be eligible for Award consideration, a candidate must be i) an international student ii) have completed the requirements of a University of Auckland Certificate of Foundation Studies or Foundation Studies Certificate, and iii) be enrolled or enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland in the next available semester following their completion of the Foundation Pathway programme

The Awards will be made by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Engagement)
