Other eligibility requirements

The University of Stirling is proud to support Chevening Scholarships. It enables us to make education more accessible for international students who are reliant on scholarship funding to pursue postgraduate study in Scotland and the UK.

In partnering with Chevening, the University of Stirling will be able to build upon and enrich our thriving international community here in Stirling, Scotland and further afield.

The University of Stirling welcomes applications from any Chevening-eligible country in any subject. All applicants who wish to be considered for an award at Stirling are encouraged to select the university as their first preference within their Chevening application.

To be eligible for a Chevening scholarship applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended.
  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application. • Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the deadline listed on the application timeline.
