Further information
Graduates of the University of Leeds are entitled to a 10% bursary on tuition fees.
To be eligible you must:
Have previously studied at the University of Leeds at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, and this includes incoming study abroad students and graduates of the SWJTU-Leeds Joint School. See the later section further down this page to find the small number of previous courses that are not eligible for the alumni bursary.
Be registering for an award leading to a postgraduate qualification (with the exception of the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)), see the full list of awards eligible for the alumni bursary.
Be self-financing for at least part of the cost of your tuition fees. You are deemed to be self-funding if you have support from a friend or relative, or if you are receiving a postgraduate loan from the UK government.
Have commenced your studies from September 2016 onwards. The bursary cannot be awarded retrospectively.
You need to apply separately for this scholarship
How to apply
If you think you are eligible you need to email the relevant School or admissions contact for the course you have applied for. If you are a Masters student you can search for these in Course Search. For PGR applicants please contact the relevant PGR Admissions team.
In the email you will need to provide information regarding your former studies, the course you have applied for and how you are funded for your tuition fees. We will need to verify that you are a former student and you will need to confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and are self-financing for your tuition fees. You may be asked to provide evidence of your former University of Leeds award. If your course is of more than one year's duration you will not have to re-apply for the bursary each year.
