One full scholarship for incoming postgraduate students applying to a Master脮s programme in Chemistry
Scope: any incoming postgraduate student holding an offer to follow any fulltime Master脮s programme in Chemistry at University College, Oxford
Funding: full tuition-fee waiver and living allowance
Duration: full duration of programme
One full scholarship is available for applicants who are applying to any full-time graduate course in the department of Chemistry within the range accepted by University College. To check whether the course you are planning to apply for is accepted by University College, please review the relevant Course page.
Established in 2016 at University College, to assist eligible postgraduate students admitted to the Department of Chemistry, the scholarship is named in honour of Dr Robert K. Thomas and co-funded by the Department of Chemistry as well as University College Old Members. Dr Thomas was Aldrichian Praelector in Physical Chemistry and a Fellow of University College for three decades (1978-2008).
The scholarship covers course fees and provides a grant for living costs. Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.
You need to apply separately for this scholarship
All eligible applicants will be considered for the scholarship, regardless of which college (if any) you state as your preference on the graduate application form. However, successful applicants will be transferred to University College in order to take up the scholarship.
Selection is expected to take place by the end of May 2025.
