Other eligibility requirements

Tsern TEFL scholars will be eligible to receive an annual scholarship of USD $3,000 to be applied to their tuition renewable for up to two years, provided they

  • Are admitted to the APU TESOL Field-based program as a first-time student in good standing
  • Secure a contract to teach in China for the two years at a school approved by APU
  • Complete three courses per term and maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Remain in good standing with the institution where they are teaching
  • Agree to write a letter each year to the Tsern鈥檚 with an update on their accomplishments
  • Uphold the values of the mission statements of APU and the TESOL program
