Established in 2003, and with more than twenty years of academic heritage, the Singapore campus of James Cook University offers a truly international program of higher education, and ranks within the top 2 percent of universities worldwide, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and 2023 Shanghai Ranking Academic Ranking of World Universities.

James Cook University, Singapore is fully owned by James Cook University Australia, and offers its students a range of university-level programs spanning subject areas of business, information technology, psychology, guidance and counselling, science, commerce, accounting, aquaculture, environmental science, games design, tourism and hospitality.

Additionally, the university offers many pre-university level pathways courses which provide a route to enrolment for students who do not immediately meet the admission requirements for their chosen program.

There are also Higher Degree by Research programs available in various subject areas. These include qualification such as Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy and pathways to higher degree study.

Study Abroad Singapore - Study in Singapore

Study at the Singapore campus of James Cook University while taking the opportunity to explore the rest of Asia in the midst of their high quality Australian education. The university’s Study Abroad Program enables students to study for 1 or 2 Trimesters (4 or 8 months), earning credits towards their home institution degree. As a study abroad student, students are able to choose subjects from a wide range of study areas that will add value to their degree.

Intercampus Exchange Program

The program is a great opportunity for students to spend up to two semesters at James Cook  University's Townsville and Cairns campuses in Australia. Students remain a Singapore-campus student and will study in Australia for one or two terms (S=semester or trimester).

The university provides a full range of  at its Singapore campus, with the aim of supporting collaborative learning and study techniques. Students have great access to modernised lecture and seminar rooms, library and associated study facilities, computer laboratories, apple rooms and financial labs. There are services for academic work, IT and technical support, health and wellbeing, campus safety, and much more.
