The University of Glasgow is one of 23 universities that has been nominated by the Home Office to take part in a student visa pilot scheme. This attempts to streamline the process for international students looking to study a master鈥檚 degree in the UK, and pursue professional work afterwards. The University of Glasgow and the University of Edinburgh are the only two universities in Scotland to be chosen for the scheme.
The scheme intends to make the process simpler for international students who intend to study in the UK for a maximum of 13 months, and then to receive a work visa and work in a graduate role. It will give them the chance to stay in the UK for a further six months after the end of their master鈥檚 course. Students can head to the website to see a list of the different courses available.
