The college awards scholarships ranging from USD 500 to USD 2,000 every spring semester to continuing students. Scholarship applications will be assessed based on the student鈥檚 previous academic achievements, volunteer experience, or specific major or career goals. International students can also apply for the Schneider International Student STEM Scholarship. This awards USD 2,500 to second-year international students who are studying a STEM-related major at the college. For international students who require help with their English proficiency, the college鈥檚 (ELI) offers a full-time intensive program starting five times per year. The classes are offered for eight weeks, and focus on grammar; listening; speaking; academic writing; reading; pronunciation; vocabulary; and conversation; as well as TOEFL preparation.
The English Language Institute is located on MiraCosta鈥檚 Oceanside campus and led by trained teachers in small class sizes, the programs teach and develop the skills required for American college or university admission.
