Pratt Institute started as a radical experiment 135 years ago to expand access to creative careers and is now an institute of higher education with over 5,000 graduate and undergraduate students working across 48 programs with 1,200 dedicated faculty. Pratt鈥檚 curriculum blends theory and practice, and weaves creative studio work with critical reflection on social impact. Students at Pratt Institute get to engage with issues of justice, sustainability, resilience, and global citizenship, and develop fluency across disciplines and the skills to solve problems creatively. Pratt is still centered around its original 25-acre campus in Brooklyn, a rich cultural capital where creative minds mix. The institute is also home to a number of impact-driven centers that push the boundaries of innovation on topics ranging from sustainable fashion to robotics and data visualization.
