About CQUniversity Australia

Established as the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) Capricornia, CQUniversity Australia received full university status in 1992 and today has over 30,000 students studying on-campus and online across Australia.

Among the largest and fastest-growing universities in regional Australia, CQUniversity has campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Cairns, Gladstone, Mackay, Melbourne, Rockhampton, Sydney and Townsville. Excellent rankings for employability 

CQUniversity was recognised in the  of 2022 as being among the top 500 universities globally. This ranking is awarded based on various factors, such as graduate employment rates, university-employer partnerships, employer-student connections and alumni success.

The university is also recognised year-after-year by  as a five-star university for full-time employment, a rating awarded based on the proportion of undergraduates securing full-time employment within four months of completing their degree.

The Graduate Outcomes Survey 2023 has revealed that CQUniversity graduates earn some of the  and secure jobs faster post-graduation compared to graduates of other institutions.

Average undergraduate salaries for CQUniversity graduates are found to be more than AUD $7000 above the Australian average salary. Undergraduate alumni are also among the most employable, placing fifth in Australia and second in Queensland in terms of full-time employment.

Postgraduates also rank very high in terms of employability, placing number one in Queensland and number three in Australia for median salary and number eight nationally for full-time employment.

New course on offer

CQUniversity is set to offer a brand-new Master of Social Work course. The course will be available at the Sydney campus from Term 2 in 2025.
