What will I learn?

Overview

Students in class. Implement strategies for creating sustainable community development policies, which target improved quality of life and address important community justice and planning issues.

This interdisciplinary specialization combines core political science concepts and theories with those found in other social scientific disciplines. It critically examines the impact of business on both society and the environment and provides students with the skills to evaluate important economic processes and relations. As part of their course requirements, students will also be asked to consider and develop sustainable business practices.

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry requirements may vary from country to country. Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Canada Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).

An Ontario college diploma or Ontario college advanced diploma (or equivalent*) with a minimum mid-70s average.

English language proficiency requirements

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall score of 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0
  • Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): Minimum score of 85.
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic: Minimum score of 58.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based test (iBT) with a total score of 83, and minimum scaled scores of Listening: 20; Reading: 20; Speaking: 19; and Writing: 20.
