What will I learn?

The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program focuses on protecting and improving the health of populations 鈥 from neighborhoods to nations - through education, promotion of healthy lifestyles, and research for disease and injury prevention. Coursework covers a broad range of public health topics and a student selected 鈥渢rack鈥 of interest: community health education or health administration. Students are prepared for entry-level positions in public health settings or for continuing education.

This major requires a separate application and admission process apart from being admitted to the University. While students may be admitted to the university as a 鈥淧ublic Health Intent鈥 student, admission to the Public Health program is not guaranteed.
