The Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/TESOL program prepares teachers who are already certified to teach in K-12 public schools to teach English as a second language. The primary goal is to enable teachers to effectively address the academic and social challenges of an increasingly diverse student population, including the growing number of English language learners, and to appreciate those students as resources for instruction and classroom management.
